**EDIT: ADDED BAKEMONOGATARI AND CANAAN REVIEW!!!!!!!!!!!
Haven't made a post in a while :) so I figured I'd give an update of my boring life....
AND OF COURSE, THE SUMMER SEASON OF ANIME HAS STARTED, SO THERE IS GOING TO BE SOME OTAKU-NESS! PCILLA'S ANIME REVIEWS 8D TANOSHII, ENJOY!
First of all.
My boring life. Summer school ended, been doing nothing much except reading Twilight LOL. Halfway done the last book at the moment (OMFG IF YOU'VE ALREADY FINISHED DONT SPOIL ME). Now I'm a freaking ADDICT. Even though the plot kind of twisted in a way I didn't like, it's still a good book nonetheless - hopefully the ending will still be the way I want it to be. The 2nd movie is out in November and I AM EXCITED :DDDDDDDDD~~~~~~~
Although both Rob and Kristen's acting were freaking HORRIBLE in Twilight, and neither really portrayed their characters good enough for my liking, THEY'RE STILL HOT AS A COUPLE <33333333!!!!!!1 AND they both look fricking gorgeous in this Vanity Fair shoot. Found these while randomly browsing for shoot themes. They really have like..no theme -_- but still. Damn you, gorgeous people.
Continuing on to my sad sad LONELY LIFE, I took up a volunteering job at Scarborough Grace. Only one shift a week for now..doing boring clerical work.. but might add on some more shifts later on. I'll get moved over to the Gift Shop position soon too, so that sounds exciting.
I got a haircut :) But I won't say anything about it since I still need a few touch-ups courtesy xtina XD So you guys will just get to see it whenever we do our shoot.
Hmm what else. I bought jeans today LOL Bluenotes had skinnies on sale for 10 bucks! The wash is kind of boring O_O...I'm more of a dark wash person =\... but hey it's 10 bucks. I also got another pair with a darker wash for 20 :) I should have invested in a straight-leg jean actually @_@ instead of two pairs of skinny jeans; but the thought never occurred to me at the time... my straight jeans are all screwed up at the hems :(

Naruto manga boring the life out of me + Bleach being only slightly better + Gintama's super slow releases + Eden's recent end have put me in a state of animelessness.
BY THE WAY, I ALREADY COMPLAINED TO THOSE THAT HAVE SEEN THE SHOW, BUT I HAVE TO SAY AGAIN THAT EDEN ENDED WITH THE WORST ENDING EVER AND *highlight*ITAZU SHOULD DIE* KTHX.
I've really only started watching new stuff today, because I was so busy killing time by reading LOL so only two animes to review this time.
Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 (東京マグニチュード8.0)
This anime was the first to catch my attention this season. Replacing Eden of the East's timeslot, this original concept by BONE/Kinema is basically about how Tokyo is hit with an 8.0 earthquake, and how the main charas cope and rebuild their lives...I think.
The animation is similar to Eden (although the characters are much better looking); they focus on more simple character designs with AMAZING background art and CG effects.
Unfortunately the main character is kind of a boring, but extremely emo, teen girl =____=" problems with school, family, life in general.... she kind of pisses me off a bit with her emo-ness...but that negativity of hers really emphasizes and foreshadows her imminent future.
I have a feeling I'm really going to love this anime, it has great potential. It could make a REALLY GOOD TEARJERKER. There haven't been many animes to move me to tears, and I feel like this one definitely has the potential if Studio BONE played the right cards. At the same time, if they added more to the plot, it could play out to be a great suspense drama or even romance..although less likely 8-) but a girl could wish.
ALL IN ALL, I HAVE HIGH HOPES FOR THIS ONE!!!
Zan: Sayonara, Zan Zetsubou Sensei (懺・さよなら 絶望先生)
This one caught my interest because of the excited comments from many people on Animesuki about the previous two series of it. I dunno how the first two series were, but this third one........
SUCKS! Sorry if you are a Zetsubou fan and are reading this.
It was so bad I couldn't even finish the entire episode.
The animation was "creative", I guess...they use all these textures and patterns for their clothes and hair and stuff BUT MAN IT MAKES THINGS SO INCOHERENT AND HARD TO PROCESS. The problem with the textures is that while a person is moving, the texture doesn't... so the pattern is just kind of flat there while the outlines of the clothes are moving about.... if you get what I mean X_X hard to explain.
Background art is virtually nonexistent half the time because they just slapped more textures there -__-'.
Example:
Character design wasn't particularly amazing.
The humour was not all that funny.
I'm not sure if there is a general plot to the story, because I haven't gotten that far LMAO but the plot to the episode was tolerable - just executed horribly.
It might get better as the story goes along, but the animation is too much for me. It all just seems too random and pointless and confusing.

At Joey's recommendation, I decided to check this one out :)
Not bad, I must say. Reminds me of Blood+ because the title font is like almost the same LOL
Art is brilliant, character designs are hot... too bad there are no cool guy charas yet >_> but the girls are pretty awesome; most give off a "cool" vibe rather than ditzy orange-haired big-boobed useless woman (NOTTHATIAMIMPLYINGACERTAINCHARACTERISUSELESS). Except the blonde girl. She looks pretty useless atm. Everyone else looks really awesome though :)
Plot is pretty okay, so far not much idea of what is going on..just brief intro of the main-charas-to-be.. the start of the killings.. It's still blurry as to who the protagonists are and who the antagonists are..but that's all part of the suspense 8D
Has the potential to be a really good thriller, with a quick pace.
I like this one, only 13 episodes too, so I think I will follow it through :)

Once again, recommendation from Joey :) because he said it was a vampire story 8D. oh and nice art 8D.
It was okay.
Art WAS amazing though. In terms of character art, I'd have to say this show takes the prize this season. The style of colouring and drawing reminds me alot of fanarts on DA LOL, especially when they do close ups of eyes... amazing chara art!!
I didn't really like the random flashing of random phrases in the middle of scenes.. it just seemed too random and kind of destroyed the mood. And I was way too lazy to pause to read the phrases every time -__-", so basically it just became a hindrance. That, and the phrase-flashing reminded me of Zetsubou, which sucked.
Plot is tolerable...I see it as being one of those "we must save her soul!" shows... I know it's a vampire story and all but it was kind of scary how the girl would do SUPER EMO THINGS like staple the side of a guy's mouth. Holy jeebus, feisty or what -_-? Freaked me out. It's also scary how she manages to carry all that stationery crap *refer to picture* on her without a bag. Maybe she hides them in her poofy shoulders.
One good thing though, I like the seiyuus :) *IS ABLE TO HEAR THAT OSHINO'S VOICE = ICHIGO <3<3<3* No idea who the other people are, but they sound the part too.
Dunno if I want to continue with this one O_O...i REALLY love the art, but it's just...a very scary story LOL. Scary as in freaky-things-that-she-does scary. And the flashing phrases and weird camera angles kind of make me more confused/irritated. Sooo maybe I'll give it another episode or two, butttt i dunno o_o.
Alrighty if you actually read all of that, then props to you O__O it was a good waste of time for me though XD haven't written/expressed thoughts in a while haha!
