I am very sorry for your loss, and the conditions that won't allow you to attend the funeral. :(

I think not going is the worst of it, but there is no way I can take an 8 hour drive right now.

Thank you, losing her and not being able to attend her funeral makes it twice as hard.

Oh darlin', how awful. I am the oldest of four...six years older than my closest sister...and haven't lost any of my sibs. I know how I would feel if I did. (One of my sisters is in the hospital right now.) My heart goes out to you.

Thank you. The hardest part is not being able to attend her funeral as I am unable to travel that distance. My sister always lived in remote areas, so planes and trains are out of the question.
