So i know it has been awhile, but I really need prayer...
Please pray... as you know Matt (my fiance) and I have had our wedding date issues... its a very long story, most of you know at least bits and pices of it. We finally settled on a date, got my parents to agree to it, making us have just under a 2 year engagment (not ideal, but do able). do you guys have options that you are weighing over?

here are the options
1) elope/smallish wedding in the next few months - complety make everyone in our families upset, and have hurt feelings pretty much forever
2) save up and throw our own wedding this commming summer - family really unhappy (and may or may not show up/support us), has to be small (due to finances)
3) get married on the previously aranged date (12/20/08)parents pay, but are REALLY upset, and everyone in the family "drag feet" so to say and we don't really have a happy wedding because of drama
4) get married late summer/early fall of 09, parents happy, but we have a 2 1/2 year engagment... which we are SOO not cool with.
*sigh so ya... it is a really hard thing, and we are trying so hard to seek what God's best for us is in this and not just have it be about what we want.

We are really having a hard time. We have been engaged nearly a year, have known this was it since pretty soon into the relationship...
We are really starting to struggle to maintain purtity... I honestly can't see us continuing like this for an extream amount of time, we either need to get married or break up. We know with out a doubt that we are supposed to get married, it is just the when that is hard...
My parents are from a different christian culture. They dated for over five years, and though it was hard, had no problems physically it seems... We haven't been together nearly that long, so we shouldn't be having a hard time, AND if we are really ment to be togehter we should have no problem waiting even 10 years to get married if that is best... (sorry venting)
It is just a really hard situation...we know that God is in the midst, and leading us, we just aren't sure which direction to go yet.
