Dude, if I were there I'd do it. But alas, theater calls >_>

Good luck!

Does that require sitting in the library for all hours of operation?

You could... You could also get some people from the Support Team (volunteers) to cover for you. I'd recommend at least being there when it opens and closes to make sure things are in order and so the Support Team folks know the procedure for any attendees who want to check out manga. The Manga Librarian would be the one to set the room's hours.

I'm not arriving til Friday evening, though, so I couldn't really do it.
Damn. That room would be nice.

A few nibbles, but nobody has told me they want it yet. Of course, it's only been 7 hours since I learned the previous staffer resigned.

Absolutely! Whoever does it wouldn't have to be tied to the room the whole time. We'd get some Support Team (volunteers/gofers/etc.) people to cover some of time running the room (checking out books, checking badges, etc.). The Librarian would definitely need to be there for setup, pack-up, and making sure everything is in place at the beginning and end of each day.
