Headhunters are the scum of the earth...and here's why
I got two calls from headhunters at work today. I'm not even looking for a job. That's what's prompting this rant.
"Headhunters" is the affectionate name given to recruiters...people whose job it is to fill positions at companies that hire them or their recruiting agencies.

Out of Policy?
My employer's travel policy on hotels states:[The Company] considers hotels over $200 a night ($300 for NYC and international destinations) to be out-of-policy.
I've got to travel to NYC at the end of April, but all the hotels I'm seeing on the corporate travel site that are under $300 per night (which isn't many) are flagged as "Out of Policy". ( Read more... ) -

Spring?
Those of you in Maine who still have a foot of snow on your lawns may be interested to know that just a couple hours south of you there are currently people outside raking lawns and using leaf blowers. -
