I need your help.

Well, my first piece of advice would be never drive a cab anywhere except Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket. Cab driving elsewhere, especially in one of the major cities of the country, can be rather shady at times. There were times I was freake dout on the island, I can't imagine what city driving would be like.
But, if you are intent on doing it, I would say don't keep too much cash on you if you can help it and don't work the overnight shift. And don't go to Dorchester, Mattapan, or Roxbury. Hyde Park isn't too nice either.
Good luck. But I would imagine that you might be able to find better money making ventures in a major metropolitan area besides cabbying?
