Yeah, apparently the book opens with a disclaimer which sounds like, "This book is a work of pure fiction and should not be taken seriously," which is shortly followed by something like, "All ceremonies, rituals, and beliefs described and mentioned are true." At least, that's what I've heard a couple speakers say, one of whom was a big promoter of the book mentioned at the end of the article. I don't remember if he was just a friend of the authors, of if it was one of the authors. Anyway, it was a good presentation and he pointed out a lot of very obvious fallacies within the book. From what I've heard about the book and movie from several people, aside from the story being stupid, any Christian who knows anything about their faith should see this movie as no threat. However, we know that there are many who do not understand their faith as well as they should and easily fall prey to this sort of thing. One of the best things we can do now is pray.
