Mobile Features

Am I the only one who finds that the mobile LJ app is lacking in a few features we take for granted on a desktop computer? Or, am I just being clueless, and missing them?

First and foremost, imho, is the ability to select a user icon for posts and comments.

I'm testing the app with this reply. Yes, a definite lack of features. However, I can take a photo for you right now. Here it is. My wine. Sorry, there's a shortage of subjects here.

Cool. I haven't added a photo, yet. Something new to try!

Love the Tardis speaker.

I wasn't even aware that there was a mobile app! I wonder if I've got room on my phone for it. Yes, my phone is kind of crowded right now, but it might just be worthwhile. I've been using LJ a lot recently. Content vs. static.

I've been trying to get back in the habit of using LiveJournal, and having the app on my phone seems to be the most effective way to do this. I recommend you give it a try, if you can find the space.

May I ask, is your issue one of phone memory, or one of organization? I've been using folders to group my apps, which allows me to put all my frequently used apps on two pages. But, maybe this doesn't apply to the phone you use. I am very fortunate in that one of my sons gave me a fancy modern smart phone, and even pays the bill.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S5, use folders to group apps into categories, but use a lot of apps. Thus, I don't have a lot of room left. If the LJ app will let me migrate it onto the SD card, then it won't be a problem. I have to make sure I've got enough space left on the phone to accomodate RAM needs.

I'm looking at the app now in the playstore. Ye gods. The app hasn't been updated since November 2014. Maybe I'll just hold off a while. The Russian version is current. No surprise there. :-(

That's the same phone I've got. I love it, but since I rarely use the pen, I often wish I'd gotten the Note 6, since that has twice the memory.
