The semester starts tomorrow, but I've been so busy there's been very little sense of a break. we sell vintage postcardsYou might be able to give me some general advice. I just realised that I still have a considerable number of old postcards (as in, postmarks from the 1910s/20s, I'm sure I've seen some older ones) from an elderly relative. (Right now, about half a shoebox, I guess - but I think there may be more hiding elsewhere ( ... )

You've touched on the intersection between two of the hats I wear, genealogist and business owner. As a genealogist, I shudder at the thought of family documents leaving family hands and being scattered, yet not all paper ephemera are going to be truly interesting . As a business owner, I sell objects which might, at one time, have been family heirlooms ( ... )
