I have heard some talk that the Muslims on campus are sick and tired of PSU disrespecting their beliefs.
Specifically, PSU promotes sinful homosexual activity through the Queer Resource Center and other such organizations. I've heard that many professors (especially in the social sciences) are homosexual apologists. There is rumor that many with traditional beliefs and values will be organizing a protest against what students believe is an affront to the religious beliefs of Muslims, who hold that homosexuality is not only a grave sin, but one punishable by death in some instances (in the United States we Muslims don't call for this, but we do ask that it remain very, very private). The university needs to accomodate the beliefs of ALL of its students!
If such a protest or rally does take place, will you take part in it?
EDIT: maybe I need to clarify what I am saying because many of you fail to understand my words. Part of the PRACTICE of my belief is to remind homosexuals that they are sinners. I don't think giving homosexuals a special "queer" group is helping remind the of this. I do not mean to harm them, I simply think we should not encourage their dangerous lifestyles. Now tell me you can at least agree with THAT. Surely you do not want them to harm themselves??
