Tonight @ Noir (203 SE Grand Ave.) for my buddy Staff Sergeant Shannon Hough (mini me w/ a BIG truck). He's leaving town next week for Iraq. We'll be there from about 10pm on. Come out and wish him well.

I'm back to work now and doing rather well with it. I've been enjoying life in simpler ways lately and have been re-evaluating many things. I am in the process of restructuring my life and deciding how to best get what is wanted and needed. So it would seem that I have been off the LJ grid for a bit. I haven't felt terribly social or talkative as of late. I have been spending a lot of time with my daughter going to places like Silver Creek Falls, OMSI and the World Forestry Center. Friday I had dinner with momma2 and tranquildarknes @ Legin thanks to the recommendation by sirwilliam. Though I will still have to stop by there for the Dim Sum, I did enjoy a superb Shrimp with Honey Glazed Walnuts (yummy!). We then went to The Fez for drink and dance. Kevin has started an impressive evening of Industrial techno and rock @ Embers on Thursday nights. No cover, drinks are cheap until midnight also. For only being a few weeks old it is filling rapidly. I would go as far to say that it is almost better than Embers on Wednesdays thanks to the fresh sound. So Friday night was a riot. We hit the Fleet ball which for my first time was comical. The array of homely honeys was intriguing. Apparantly the Canuck's Navy females were the alpha on this occasion.
