Premieres and all that great stuff

I actually meant to say something about OTH and Life Unexpected earlier this week, but now I finally have the time to blab as much as I want to, so... here we go! :D I missed my shows.

One Tree Hill first! I The theme song was back, yay! I had to rewatch this after it aired because some of the stuff threw me the first time around. Why did they replay the last few minutes of the finale like that? I guess it was to weave that weird stuff with Quinn and Clay in, now that I think about it, but...that was weird.

Speaking of the Quinn/Clay stuff - what was the point of that? The fact that they weren't found in this episode just means it'll be stretched to this Tuesday. That was the really weird part of the episode for me, because it seemed really pointless. Obviously, we knew they were shot. Why have all of that (admittedly cute, but still) fluff with them on the beach? Because I don't know about anyone else, but I did not buy that 'it was just a dream' stuff for a second. Maybe they did it because the discovery that they'd been shot would angst up the rest of the episode's fluff (the Naley and Brulian stuff) but, come on, really?

Nathan and Haley were cute, though. I still wonder what effect Quinn's shooting will have on her. And will we see Taylor again now that there's another family crisis? Nathan and Haley's fumbling around Jaime's sex question was funny - the funnier part was instead of giving a final answer Nathan bribed him with a video game. And I hope they tell why their doctors wanted to run some tests on both of them...that seemed a little worrisome.

And on to the Brooke stuff. ...What? The legal trouble came right out of left field. What were Millie and Victoria thinking? I feel really bad for Brooke. I wonder if she's going to have to find another career now. I wouldn't have thought so but they cleaned the store out and everything. And now she and Victoria will probably have all kinds of issues again. *sigh*

Other than that and the Alex/Chase/Mia stuff that I don't really want to get into because IDG why they're taking up screentime when Quinn and Clay are lying dead/dying. Okay, I lied... Dear Mia, you broke up with your boyfriend via text message. How is that Alex's fault?

Excited for next week's!

And now for Life Unexpected... can I just say first that I have an irrational dislike for Ryan? Okay.

Why in the world did Bug think proposing to Lux was a good idea? I can see getting mad at her for going off with another guy (that didn't make sense to me either) but she obviously still wanted to be with him, so his getting upset over that was a little strange. Know what else was strange? Lux getting in a car with a guy she'd just met. Luckily he wasn't an axe-wielding serial killer, but still.

And of course Cate had to use Lux to get at Baze, just like she always does. I get that they fight a lot, but I wish she'd lay off of that because it's almost like she uses Lux because she knows how much Baze loves her and then I end up giving Cate serious side-eye.

I didn't expect to when I started watching this show, but I really like Baze. He's spontaneous and still has some growing up to do, but at the end of the day he's one of the good guys and I wish Cate would ease up on him. I understand Ryan not liking him, but eh.

Lux lying to Cate and Baze seems to be some kind of theme, IIRC, and she should really stop. I get that she's independent because she didn't have parents, but now she does. I like her, but lying about where she is seems like asking for trouble. They're all lucky Baze wasn't hurt too badly running into that building.

I can't believe Cate got fired and Ryan stayed anyway. I mean, obviously someone has to pay the bills, but he didn't seem like he put up much of a fight over it. And I wonder who Julia is. Hmm, we shall see.

Baze will probably always pine for Cate, but I kinda wonder what her reaction would be if he actually moved on with someone else. I only say that because I like Baze and the way Cate treats him bugs me sometimes. I guess I ship them, but her self-rightousness bugs me sometimes.

From next week's promo, it looks like Lux might actually try to make something work with the teacher? ...What? Oh, Lux. That has bad idea written all over it.

Glee comes back in two days! :D I'm so excited! I'll have three shows on Tuesday this year (Glee, OTH, Biggest Loser). Yikes. And then SPN is on Friday! Best only good thing about being back in school. I love television.
