Beautiful post. You always put things into words so beautifully. I got chills when you talked about singing the hymns. I remember you going to Friends retreats. Did you get interested in those because of Nicole? And did I tell you that I went to a Quaker service here? I really enjoyed it. It's such a thoughtful and personal experience. I love you and can't wait to see you soon.

Why, yes, I did get into them because of Nicole. When she was stying with us for those weeks before 8th grade because her parents were seperating, she told me about them. Or maybe it was when she visited us later that year. Anyway. My first retreat was in March, and I went as "Nicole's friend." That lasted until the second day, I think.

They are quite thoughtful services. I think it's because people are only speaking when they are truly moved. I think only the most sincere people can make a regular practice of that.
