I don't have any experience with that particular model, but it looks like a good one! That much zoom would probably come in pretty handy when you take outdoor shots, and it looks like the other features are good, too. Not as small as some, but you said you didn't want anything too tiny anyway. Might be just perfect for you. :-)

That looks like a really great choice! You can't beat Canon's quality--in product and performance! They're the best. I say go for it!

I had that one at Christmastime...Mom bought it thinking it was THE ONE I wanted, and it wasn't...so we traded it. It is very similar to the Canon S5 IS, which I would highly recommend! It wasn't any more expensive (at that time) (I got mine on Amazon) and I'm in love with the flip-out lcd. Check it out!
