Code Geass /
Suzaku's historyCANON POINT: R2, near the end of episode 21 but BEFORE the time skip.
AGE: 18

PERSONALITY:
By nature, Suzaku has an overwhelming sense of peace and an open heart for human lives. He’s kind, gentle, and expresses his emotions in others that many wouldn’t begin to even scratch the surface. Though at times those emotions take the better of him, he always seems to find a solution to each and every problem when coming face to face with it.
Simply kind to the boot, this boy make every opportunity he can to express helpfulness and an open hand to everyone whom is in need it. Though a tad straight forward at times, it is never done with harsh words or malice. Rather a lovely and caring act to ease the problems of others. Never is there a chance were he backs down for any assistance to another. He wants to do whatever he can to help; to ease the lives of others around him.
He tries to find the good within each individual, even if the negative qualities outnumber the good by a substantial amount. For the example of being accused of wrongful death, Suzaku took the sides of the court even when death was at his door. He believed that they would bring justice to his cause and set things right- when Lelouch himself knew that if he went to court, they would simply kill off his best friend. Still, Suzaku's judgment in others remains firm, and finds that even the worse people have a good side to them.
Being Japanese [ or an 'Eleven' as the Britannians called them ] inside a Britannian controlled environment, he tends to get ridiculed upon his race and looked down on by others. He was accused of killing Prince Clovis and nearly killed because of a false set up; just because he was an Elven, and was given harmful treatment by his classmates upon joining a Britannian ruled school. Still, Suzaku never becomes violent with them. He accepts the insults and merely brushes them aside. He even goes as far as to tell Lelouch that they should not be seen together at school. Seeing as how his concern for his friend mingling with an Eleven would cause people to even begin to look down upon him, too. Even in the normal society, the Elevens are constantly being attacked or mauled by others for what they are. But even through all of that, Suzaku still remains firm- thinking that this soon will change as he joined the military for the two of them to unite. Rather than bumping heads with one another.
Even when joining the military, this boy would not take lightly to the hurting of innocent civilians. He tried to the middle between fighting and peace; seeing that there was always a brighter resolve then getting your hands stained with blood. He's seen to even in the midst of battle turning away to help someone in danger which others find to be a little bizarre for a soldier. Even when finally being reunited with his best friend Lelouch, Suzaku declines a demand from his officer to kill Lelouch. He believes that citizens that are completely innocent should not be punished, and in return was even shot for sticking up for what he believed in. Still he remains in the military for the sake of those innocents.
Suzaku has such a high regard for human life, that he tends to forget about his own in the process. Many a times Suzaku would rather give up his own life for the sake of others, or die knowing that he saved/completed a task. Over many attempts has his male has nearly given up his life to the hands of death, and many times escaped with narrow blows. During an instant were Zero was finally captured by Suzaku himself, he was allowing his own life to be sacrificed in attempts of a bombing to get rid of Zero and most of the Black Knights; himself included. With this Zero finally used his Geass on the male, ordering him to live. Now this Geass spell controls most of his actions during battle. From actually saving himself from death upon the bombing to preventing someone from stabbing him.
In a way, one would think the Geass control of life to be a good thing, but Suzaku would disagree. At times he wanted to rid of his life- finding redemption with his sins to be that of death. The Geass angers him that it controls his course of actions and doesn't allow him to fulfill one of his greatest desires- death.
Though death is something he desires within moments, Suzaku himself at times is found to be a contradiction. He wants to find peace and happiness to the innocent, and yet joins the military were fighting is of the essence. Again he wishes to save lives, though only wishes to die for the things he has done in the past. Though for others the course of Suzaku's actions are on the confusing side, this only proves further that he runs clearly on instincts rather than what people think is right and wrong within their own standards.
Which brings up another big detail, he runs solely off of how he feels. This causes him to at times make hasty decisions based on what he is currently struggling with. In the matter of the villain Zero shooting the princess he had sworn prior to protect, the male doesn't take a second thought into stepping out of his peaceful resolve and coming to a point of so much rage that he would completely overthrow his usual way of thinking. Fueled by rage and hatred towards the masked man, Suzaku then swore to himself that he was going to kill him- even though he had tried so hard to keep peace and the lives of others at such high priority. You can only assume then how much rage was targeted towards this man that even someone like Suzaku would step so much out of his boundaries as to actually wish death upon another. It is in that whole incident that his entire personality begins to shift into a one-eighty.
While some of the previous aspects still remain, no longer did the boy look towards peace and a content outlook on life, rather he shut himself into a tight shell of hardened emotions and rare smiles. He even goes as far as to- upon finding out that his childhood friend was undoubtedly Zero- turned him in to his own father for punishment. When asked if he would even sell out his own friend in order to gain power, Suzaku agreed without a moments hesitation. Saying that he was still going to change the world from the inside out, and upon turning his best friend in, was rewarded into a higher rank and became what was known as the Knight of Seven.
From there, his actions turned towards getting his way up the ranks by his own means. Even if that meant putting some people's lives at the hands of fate. He himself even puts himself in the place to kill his own Emperor- in hopes that by doing this he would move up to the rank of Knight of One. His one-tracked mind puts him at a disadvantage to reason, as he no longer allows the hope of innocents to fuel him. Instead, his stubborn attitude leads him down a path at the beginning he would of never dreamed of heading towards.
He becomes quicker to anger, and the grudges that run deep inside of him stay here. Finding it almost impossible to forgive the people who have caused him harm- that person mainly being Lelouch. Even when his best friend bow in front of him, asking for protection of his sister, Suzaku refuses to forgive him for his past crimes. Saying that he couldn't wash away what he had done prior, and that if he wanted to redeem himself to bring back Princess Euphemia.
Here's not to say he's like that with everyone. Though he's developed a tight outer shell, the respect and courtesy of a proper man remains to those of a higher ranking status or 'civilians'. He does his repetitive duty in protecting others while still retaining the right amount of facade of a proper gentleman.
In short, Suzaku is a complex-- or maybe not a complex as people would think-- boy. He's a simple man with simple ideals and an impact that could reach across any nation.
ABILITIES:
By no means does Suzaku possess any outward superhuman abilities or inner powers such as Geass. No, his power is based on pure strength and agility which he uses to the utmost of his willpower. Being one apart of the military, Suzaku is trained in the hand-to-hand combat as well as how to properly use firearms. He can apprehend his enemies in mere seconds and has the speed to even dodge flying bullets. Even before, he was trained in material arts and skilled in the art of Kendo. He is constantly being teased by Lelouch for being a 'athletic nut' but this much is almost entirely true. He spends most of his time improving his skill and becoming stronger both mentally and physically.
Aside from his impressive strength, his mental is nothing to tamper with. He has a good sense of instincts, and based on those, can easily make decisions about a person's next move. And rather than use tactical strategies, he instead relies on instinct alone and is able to overcome harsh situations calmly and productively- such as a solider should.
He is an amazing pilot and it able to control the Lancelot; a Knightmare Frame used in combat. Suzaku's scores were so impressive [ being ranted at 94% for efficiency ] that little would like to cross his path on the ground and later to the skies.
Though Suzaku doesn't have the power of Geass himself, he is affected by it. On being told to 'live' as a command from the Geass, Suzaku- whenever placed in a threatened environment to which death could be a possibility- the Geass kicks in. With this, Suzaku has to survive by any given means necessary. It also gives him small warnings if his life is in danger, but doesn't completely take over his actions by the force of his willpower.

This is-- !
[ First: evaluate the situation. There seemed to be no trace of anyone familiar, landscape was foreign, and an overwhelming sense of alarm rose up in the pit of the boy's stomach. A quick scan around confirmed that he was no longer on the at the Entrance of C's World. Though something did seem to catch his eye. A tool which he soon determined to be a communication device. Huh, how convenient.
The feed then rightly switches on to Suzaku's flat line expression and boy does he look happy right about now.
His tone becomes serious, addressing: ] This is Suzaku Kururugi; Knight of Seven of the Holy Britannian Empire. I seem to have misplaced my location. If anyone has any information as to where I am, that would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time.
[ And the feed comes to a close. ]
THIRD-PERSON SAMPLE:
Roughly after the feed comes to a close, a tight scowl eased out of the back of the boy's throat. Of all times to be taken away from just as the events in C's world fell into the place. The Emperor... Lelouch's mother, could they really have died by his hands? It was suppose to be his doing, his sin to commit for the Emperor to die by his hand and allow himself the opening he needed to become the Knight of One. However in the end, it was Lelouch--
"Tch." The thought subconsciously allowed his hands to tighten his grip on the device in his hands; face hardened and unable to read. He had to calm himself, though. This isn't the time of place to reflect on things of the past- not when something as undecided as this occurred. But... where exactly was this? After exiting that mysterious world, one would only think they would return to the same spot he entered. However, this didn't seem to be the case. Suzaku was now place into a world he had never seen, or nothing that reminded him of Japan in the first place.
Could C's World somehow transported him somewhere entirely different? Not only that, but those that had accompanied him- Lelouch and C.C- were not present either. Thus making the situation a little harder to understand.
Yes beneath all of that, Suzaku was still a soldier. He was trained to be calm in unfamiliar areas, and act accordingly to his surroundings. This was no exception. So with a quick sigh to completely calm his nerves, the Knight then turn a green gaze to the communication device in his hands. Realizing then the tight hold he held on the object.
"Heh, seems I'm more uptight about this then I should be..." Voice was soft, almost a whisper, but with that simple sentence it allowed his grip to loosen. All he could do now is wait to receive an answer. Might as well walk around to take in more of the area while he waited.
