Glad for your update and progress. I would love to talk to you about our short shul experience some time soon. At the wine (juice) and bread eating time, no body talked to me. I finally talked to the nice Rabbi who was not happy about my now being a Quaker for 42 years and the 2 Lesbians who had a birthday and a doctorate. Are you going back there some time? When it will be Beth Ahava? I might be interested in joining you now that I know how to get there. Ahavia
I'm sorry nobody talked to you! :( It's Beth Ahavah on Friday nights. If you wanted to go on a Friday night I would go with you to see what it's like. I would probably not go back there on my own. It wasn't that I felt anyone was unfriendly to me (I didn't stay long enough to find out, really)...but the worship service wasn't for me. It was too much English, for one thing. If I wanted a worship service in English I would have gone to UU church. I go to synagogue to pray in Hebrew. Also it was really hard for me to be in a room that had no windows for so long. I'm at Pendle Hill this weekend, but next weekend I would like to try to go somewhere different...and I'll go visit a different Meeting on Sunday as well. :)
