Can you go over any sweet jumps?

Friday afternoon Jeff came to pick me up. We spent some quality time in the room, then we went to the library so I could show him the exhibit in the lobby, which he liked as much as I do. We met Bitsy and Nase for lunch, then we headed home where my family and my warm house and my cat awaited me. Jeff took me out for dinner to Pazzo, the new ( Read more... )

i'm glad someone else considers february weather in the 40s "nice." i live in minnesota, and i'm tired of hearing all my friends who live down south complaining that it's only 50 or 60 degrees out--i'd kill for that this time of year! and i adore the garden state soundtrack...how did you feel about the end of the movie?

Well, part of me wishes it had ended at the scene in the quarry because it was just so powerful. That feeling died down at the end, but I was still really happy that Large ended up staying with Sam. However, it will probably come back to bite him in the ass that he didn't settle everything in LA.

I loved Garden State... and couldn't stand Troy. I don't like "epics," unless they're split up into miniseries on TV because my attention span is very short. Boats crossing the Aegean? Suddenly I start thinking about how hungry I am or what I'm going to wear the next day.

I'm an epic kind of girl, but not when I've read an epic and it's completely disfigured in a movie version. I could deal with the changes in LOTR, but not in Troy. Peter Jackson showed a deep respect for the text that I didn't feel coming from Wolfgang Petersen at all. It's hard to believe he ever even read it... Oh well. I guess some people enjoyed it, but it just wasn't my cup of tea.
