That's really scary. Deer vs. car interactions rarely end so well for the car and/or its occupant. I barely hit a deer while I was driving about 30mph and not only did the deer not make it, but it did $1200 of damage to my car.
Glad to hear you are okay, sorry to hear about the accident and the demise of the deer.
I, too, am glad that all ended so well...for me. In retrospect, I thought some on how I felt when I saw the poor thing for the first time, before I knew what the outcome would be. I was scared for it. Anxious.
And, yet, just the other day, I saw two young boys trying to cross the same five-lane road that stays perpetually busy. Even worse, it was dusk.
God forbid the day that I worry more about a deer than a human life at stake. Not that I want either to suffer, but because of the story of both Creation and Redemption, I must always carry an extra burden for those whom God especially loves.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?
How one feels about the sanctity of life regarding animals vs. humans is the qualifier for neither Heaven nor Hell.
