when i can legally drive by myself, i will be so responsible you can be proud of me. seriously, though, we can control as much of our actions as we can, and even epictetus would agree that we can do our utmost to control our reactions to the world around us. if this means looking around and realizing our mortality or leads us to stop taking relationships and people for granted, then the world would be a much better place. deaths are always hard, especially since many times you have no idea they're coming and are left completely unprepared to confront it. at least you took a lesson away from this, right? i hope you're doing alright. i miss you and love you!
