[after the initial shock Maka takes it upon herself to start the meeting. she makes her way in front of the main tv and forces a single cough to gather attention.]

Hello. [she says camly] We are all in this situation together so please, do not panic.

[but of course deep down she's panicking herself (--I can't sense a single soul in the room...) regardless, Maka does her best to not let it show, because after all? the room can only be as calm as the leader presents themselves to be, and Maka was going to keep this under control]

My name is Maka Albarn, if you do not know it already. [(--gee Maka, why so uptight? assure them or something --calm them down)

Maka smiles.

the sudden change of attitude is a bit awkward, but she tries her best to push through it.]

Does anyone have any ideas to start off with?

Ah, yes?--

[Maka wasn't surprised. she had met Mr. Irving at the party earlier that day when the general mood was far more relaxing, and she didn't like him then either. he seemed cocky, rude, condenscending -- he basically just a shining collection of everything someone could hate in a person.

so the second Irving cut her off and stepped up beside her with his stupid little grin, Maka's smile faded.

who did he think he was anyway? if he thought he was going to hijack this, he was oh-so-very wrong.

--and wait, five years old? five? really?]

I'm not five years old, [she corrected him, but decided to skip out on the part where she told her true age because hey, lets face it: fourteen years old isn't exactly over the hill either.] and I have plenty of qualification.

[the half-lie rolled right off her tongue. sure, Maka didn't have qualification in say, solving murder mysteries or activities where a group decides on which one of them they should kill, but she still had qualification (at least more than he had, anyway).]Are you ( ... )

[Minatsuki was still in a daze, half convinced she was hallucinating. After all, she had to be, earlier today, she'd been in prison, then she was at a party mingling and pretending to be her sweet gentle self... and now this? What the fuck was going on?]

(Scum? Of course there's scum among us All people were scum, after all)

[She didn't like the implication that her branch of sin wouldn't function here either, but it wasn't like she'd try it out in public. Best to keep a low, quiet profile.

She'd seen Irving earlier and he rang Mina's bullshit detector like a gong. He sounded like a used cars salesman; it was obvious to anyone that he was a shitbag.

Maka, on the other hand, seemed too nice and air-headed to be a murderer. Though, Mina thought of herself, you never really know, right?]

U-Um [she says meekly] I-I think Maka is right... I... trust her.

[Sasori was watching, quiet as he had been, although he had been playing the role of polite partygoer for his duration here. He'd tried his chakra strings as soon as that voice had mentioned they were gone, and their lack put him in a foul mood. But he couldn't let that show. He watches as the first few people spoke up.

He didn't like Irving, in particular. The two girls seemed just that, but he wasn't about to let his guard down. He doubted anyone here could kill him, but he still wanted anyone who would try dead. He looks at Irving. Sasori is fully aware he himself doesn't look a day over fifteen, if that, but it doesn't matter to him.]

You think yourself qualified? [His eyes sweep the room.] I don't think any of us can say we're qualified to take charge, given how little we know each other. [He's watching them all.]

[Near sat at a table to the side of the room, one leg dangling off his chair and the other curled up to his chest. He looked around the room, silently gauging everyone's reaction. Near's words are barely loud enough for people directly around him to hear.]

There's no point in arguing like this. Whoever set this up seems to want us to become confused.
