^_^

Mac's not my strong point. I'm more of a software geek - 'That html's so bloated, it couldn't display the broad side of a home page...' *points to awful joke* that kind of thing.

I try to stay away from closed proprietary hardware/software (which mac is very much) because of the higher cost. Perhaps one day, when I can afford to pay for my shit, I'll dole out the cash for something really pretty. In the meantime I'll keep running ubuntu on my cheap-as-nails laptop... It gets me though the day... XD

LOL That was a sweet line! *giggles* and HTMLs are Ebil!! I can do the very basic ones.... but I would love to be able to personalize my journals

I was able to get it converted to a downloadable video...

I'm leaning towards them (Macs)because of the heck I'm having with my decade old Dell. Like getting the Blue Screen of Death when I want to watch a DVD... unable to play CD's unless the covers are all off.. *rolls eyes* Also from what I'm understanding the Mac is the choice to Fine Arts.. like sketching/painting/CGIs... the appeal of no Viruses is pretty nice too.

But I'm also checking out the option to build my own..

I don't use anything fancy, so linux does me fine. GIMP is as much versatility as I need in an image manipulation program and I don't do any video or music editing.

I've also heard that Macs are quite good for graphic arts. One thing about Apple is that they're not too shabby when it comes to the things that look pretty (on the inside and the outside). Probably why microsoft stole their operating system when they tried to 'make' vista.
