That linked post is fascinating, and though I've seen the trailers and all, I confess I never really noticed the color of the actors' skin. O.o; I'd been planning to watch this too.

I still want to see it a little bit, I expect it to be pretty terrible but the settings look really good. But I'm not going to pay to see it.

I will not be seeing it. Instead, I'll consider seeing the original. I also put a bug into my dad's ear about why I won't be seeing it, because it's along the lines of something we might have seen together in the theatre, and he won't go to see it without me, so at least there are two not supporting the film that would have. You know, if they'd done it right and not been completely racist about it.

You should definitely see the original! I never expected to like it, but it's really, really well done.
