I try not to use the word hate since there are only so many things in this world that actually deserve that title stamped on them. For instance, I don't hate the person who cut me off on the freeway yesterday. Was I annoyed with her? Of course. But do I hate her? No, I do not. Yeah, I mostly ignore facebook in favor of LJ. LJ can be very time consuming, but it's much lower quantity of interpersonalness with accompanying much higher quality. People have to actually say things here instead of just posting a link or some stupid quiz that I don't care about and which will probably give an in to some kind of hijacking malware to their FB profile anyway.
