i don't think i'll ever understand what prompts people to be cruel. it's obviously not a concept i'm unfamiliar with, but when i'm cruel, there's at least some basis for it. i'm never needlessly harmful

Why is getting your ears pierced considered ok?
How is that any different from say your nose?
