I said Bush because he, in my opinion, is a much better choice than Kerry, and that debate the other night only proves my point further. and no one ever hears enough about Nader to know that he is a better choice than either of the other two, anyways.
most everyone agrees that kerry won that debate, bush was ill prepared and had no true facts to back up the same "yay America" quotes he's been using since 9/11 to try to sound like a strong leader. i love the 4 second pause where he just stared at the camera hopelessly lost.
He ran in 2000 under the Green Party. He's pretty a-okay, actually. I just wish he hadn't decided to run this year, since he's going to pull some votes away from Kerry, just as Perot did for the Bush Sr. in '93.
I COULD go into about an hour's worth of reading about why Kerry would be a better man for the job than Bush, another hour about how our country is a much safer and tolerable place because of Ralph Nader, and yet another hour about how voting for Ralph Nader is a waste of a vote and although he'd make a great president, the message he's pushing is just a joke especially in the age we live in.
But, alas, I am not going to start a bunch of political drama in your journal. I will, however, leave with this:
This is going to be a joke election and that is sad because it is the most important election our country has ever encountered. The end. I think that's pretty easy for both sides to agree on.
nader is the leader of the green party; what is the green party? i have no idea...
where's 'anyone else?'
oh yah, the latest is that ah-nold may soon be eligible for president, if some midwestern politician has his way; he wants to amend the 'must be a natural born citizen' clause for presidential candidates to 'naturalized citizen for at least 20 years.' *is not sure if this is good or not...*
Actually, Nader isn't running under the Green Party this year.
A little info about the Green Party:
They are for: Non violence Grassroots democracy Ecological health Alternative Energy Etc.
A great party, actually. I was originally registered with them until this year, when I decided to switch over to the Democratic party to further support Kerry.
who's nader running with these days? i hadn't paid much attention to whom he belonged to for a while; that was back when clinton ran, i think...long time ago, it seems.
