your rent is fair, as far as CA standards go.
I am so pleased that you wrote this up, such an awesome place to be.

My designer self is itching to see the interior! Wish I was there to help as there is no greater adventure then a new nest!

It has so much potential, and if I'm here long enough, there is so much I could do. A video house tour will be made when it's clean and unpacked!

Yep, quite an amazingly reasonable rent compared to California :) And the first month or two in a new place always seem to have a bunch of settling-in costs, unfortunately. But it does sound lovely - can't wait for a video tour!

Thank you! When my anal retentive little heart is happy with the clean factor, there will be video!

Sounds amazing, just the sort of place I'd love too. Tell us this ghost story then!

My old house was an 1850s stone cottage where the only adjoining building was a shared stair to the villa in front. It also had a cellar under part of it (end on to a slope). It could get freezing, even with decent central heating and modern windows. The bathroom floor over the cellar was ice cold no matter what. It would be warm with the heating on then as soon as it was off you wanted it back on.

Current 1900s tenement flat, with other flats all round and south facing with no central heating and only a gas fire and some electric radiators never gets all that cold unless the weather is exceptional.

So in short, yes, I reckon it's adjoining lived in spaces that make the difference.

And what a difference! Can't believe it's only a few miles from the old place!
