Interesting article on Slate about declining album sales. I'm very happy to see that it's obvious to most intelligent people that peer to peer file sharing cannot be blamed single handedly for lower sales year to year ( Read more... )

better yet, I think we'll all be vindicated if it turns out that Arthur Anderson is doing the books for Atlantic or Capitol or one of the big boys, and that AA has been pulling an Enron with their business too.

In the near future there is sheer desperation. of being unable to control the agents. of not knowing who is really your audience. of outgrowing the boundaries of self-inflicted sufferring. LOL

It's refreshing to see a large company like Verizon not only stand up for an individual customer, but for due process in general. Bravo!

Verizon is probably just protecting their own business prospects in doing so. I hardly believe it's possible to prosecute one user for sharing songs when everyone else is doing the same thing. If that was possible, then Lycos Search is a million times more guilty than that one user (just to give an example).
