Tavros and Aradia had been good friends in something like a moirail sort of way, once upon a time. They RPed together as Team Charge, proving that blood color and ruthlessness did not . Except then there was an accident, and Tavros ended up crippled and Aradia ended up dead. She was less...enthusiastic about anything after that, and they drifted apart.
Now that she's more or less alive again, and back in the city, Tavros has been pleasantly surprised to have her back to her old enthusiastic self again. He hasn't quite adjusted to it yet, but he's missed her, and it's really good to have her back.

While he respects the psychic's skill, Sollux's abraisive attitude is a bit much for Tavros. He pretty much thinks Sollux thinks he's totally useless. He's probably not wrong.

Tavros has more or less given up on Karkat ever seeing him as anything other than a useless pain. He appreciates that Karkat will still take the time to talk to him, and , but there are only so many times you can hear a guy tell you to fuck off when you come to him for help, advice, or just to say 'hey, I seem to be paralyzed at the bottom of a cliff' before you start to listen. Karkat was a really good leader, though, and Tavros was happy to contribute however he could.
All the same, while Gamzee's always insisted that Karkat is his best friend, in Tavros's opinion (which he will never give and nobody will ever ask for), Karkat has been an extremely shitty at keeping up or even acknowledging his end of that friendship. If he allowed himself to really think about it, Tavros'd be pretty mad about it.

♌ NEPETA LEIJON ♌
Sensing a kindred spirit in her, Tavros likes Nepeta a lot. She's playful and inventive, and the self-confidence to just be herself no matter what, even if other people think it's weird. He likes how friendly and sweet she is, and is a little jealous of the amazing moirailegiance she and Equius have. When Equius isn't around, he worries about her - she does seem to need him to reign her in, and while Tavros would never think of infringing on that forever-pale pairing, he would look out for her if he could. You know, just until Equius gets back.
Nepeta's pretty violent, though. Tavros would rather be friends with animals than hunt them down to kill and eat them. AND he really is very allergic to cats. :/

♍ KANAYA MARYAM ♍
If there's one person Tavros knows will always put aside time and effort to help him (whether he...asks her to or not, really), it's Kanaya. But Kanaya is like that for everyone, and Tavros knows better than to think that he's special - if anything he's gotten the impression that Kanaya has little respect for him, since he seems to need help so much. He can't really blame her, since it's true, but it makes her hard to like as much.
In truth, the weirdness between them stems from an odd, pale mix of red and black where they both know that he needs someone to look after him, but she doesn't feel that he's reliable enough to look after anyone in return. Probably they'll both feel better when the other one has a moirail.

♎ TEREZI PYROPE ♎
Terezi is pretty confusing sometimes, but Tavros likes her a lot! He gets the sense that she's teasing him a lot of the time, even when she's not being obvious about it, and that makes it a little hard to trust her. She's probably the only other troll who really understands what it's like to make your way in their cutthroat culture with a serious physical setback, but Terezi's not only been able to work with and around her handicap, she's trained to become even better because of it! It's seriously inspiring. He also appreciates it that she's willing to step in on his behalf sometimes, if he needs help.
In the city, Terezi was the first troll he went to with his plans to become a hero, and he's really enjoyed working with her to better understand the confusing human laws.

♏ VRISKA SERKET ♏
Once Tavros's most complicated relationship, he's currently pretty clear on how he feels about her. Which is: she is evil, cannot be trusted, and anything she's trying to do should be stopped. Throw a guy off of enough cliffs...
All the same, she really went out of her way to...get to him, one way or another and he can't deny that his relationship with her has shaped his life in good ways as well as terrible ones. He knows she's not what he wants in a matesprit, but if he thought for a second that he could keep up with her in the other quadrant...but fat chance there.

♐ EQUIUS ZAHHAK ♐
Equius is a great moirail for Nepeta. If it weren't for that, Tavros wouldn't really know what to make of him - his snobbery and creepy staring is super off-putting, but Equius also made him robot legs, for no reason other than Tavros needed them, and they were absolutely wonderful to have. That's a lot of highs and lows, but at the end of the night, Equius's moirailegiance to a really great troll like Nepeta averages it all out for Tavros. He isn't pals with the guy, but he'll call him a friend, and he will certainly respect him.
He sometimes wonders if he and Equius couldn't bond a bit more over their mutual love of animals...but he also sort of feels like Equius's love of animals might be...of a different nature...than Tavros's own, and that is just not something he wants to think about very much.

♑ GAMZEE MAKARA ♑
Once Tavros's easiest and simplest relationship, this is now his most complicated. He's is willing to admit that he has red feelings for his "bro", but they are not currently seeing eye-to-eye on the nature of those feelings: Gamzee wants a matesprit, but Tavros thinks what he really needs is a moirail. Gamzee turned him down flat when he offered, though, and for his part, he's not really sure Gamzee's dependable enough to trust in a matesprit way. The guy turned around and started dating Eridan, after all.
This has left him without an official, understandable place from which to try to relate to Gamzee, a position both trolls are pretty frustrated with. He knows he wants Gamzee to be happy again, somehow, but has no idea to get there from where everyone is.
Tavros keeps trying, though, because without his pies to calm him, Gamzee has been on a months-long murderous rampage through the city, mauling and culling anyone who crosses him, and it is very very easy to cross him just now. Compared to the chill, sweet guy that Tavros came to know and love, this new Gamzee is appalling, and Tavros has found himself auspistizing between his bro and everyone else more than anything, lately.

Well, he doesn't really like Eridan. Mostly because Eridan has never once given the slightest hint that he thinks of Tavros as anything other than lowblooded scum, and Tavros will put up with a lot of people looking down on him for a lot of reasons, but his blood color is not actually one of them. Tavros has been trying, though, for Gamzee's sake.

Tavros is never entirely sure how to react to the ex-Empress. She's so friendly and nice, but kind of intense, and he's always had the feeling that Eridan would fillet him for daring to even look at her. He'd be happy to get to know her better, but they haven't really had the chance.
He thinks she would have made a really good empress, actually. }:(

SHE IS AMAZING! Jade is fun and smart and good at everything, and really very patient, and pretty, and um...too good for him. }:(
After the whole misunderstanding where he used her lusus to make her accidentally shoot her grandfather instead of herself, he's not really sure how to be her friend. He also found her easier to talk to when she was asleep. (Yes, that's why, it has nothing to do with his confession and subsequent torment and death. Nope.)

The partner in crime (fighting) that Tavros always wanted, Redbird is determined and demanding enough to keep him constantly striving, and supportive enough that he's come to trust her, and believe that there's something in him that is good and that will get better. He feels pretty honored that she'll show that she cares about him, and that she can be uncertain and need comfort and support herself sometimes.
It's moments like that which have led him to believe that they're true moirails, even if he knows this belief is one-sided. He's convinced himself that he's happy to just be her moirail, and that he's content that she'll never acknowledge that she's his, or that there's any sort of deeper relationship there.

Troll culture doesn't really have anything in it that would cause Tavros to seek out adult company or advice, but human culture is heavily geared toward it, and Tali is currently the adult most likely to find Tavros on her doorstep, if he just needs sanctuary somewhere. This is partially because he likes her, and partially because he misses Tinkerbull and is a little jealous of other trolls with adult-lusii, rather than because the emotional bond is actually there. He's currently dealing with enough mothering from Kanaya that he's not exactly eager to invite it from someone else, without that bond.

Tavros has no idea what to make of Scathach, so he tries not to think about who/what she in terms any more complicated than "old human Kanaya-slash-Condesce only doesn't tell me what to do". Which is, granted, a pretty complicated way to think about anybody.

Tavros is both mildly terrified of and has a hero-crush on Garrus, who is a bad-ass adult and a for real cop, who thus far doesn't seem to find Tavros annoying or think superheroing is stupid! THIS IS BASICALLY AMAZING. Also he's Tali's friend, and gets cred for that reason.

Grunt is what would happen if a troll was born as something that was not a troll, basically. Tavros sees absolutely nothing wrong with Grunt's enthusiasm for battle and general bloodlust, though he's a little young yet to be able to really keep up with Grunt in that direction without getting hurt. Knowing that Grunt finds him impressive is super great for Tavros's self-esteem, and he thinks its very important that people understand Grunt and not judge him by human standards! He doooes sort of think that Grunt could do with one or two interests outside of battling foes, though...

Tavros spends many lunch periods studying with Baroona. (By which we here mean, teaching Baroona shit, which does help him understand it better himself.) In return, he's got a safe place to sit and someone to sit with who pretty much puts up with how weird Tavros is, which is nice.
