during the sunday night broadcast of fox 5 news at 10, the news anchor said the following headline: "now we hear from transit workers who say the union is treating them like unwanted stepchildren."  probably the most bizarre comment ever about this strike.

This was really beautiful! Makes me want to be in New York, though I have vivid images in my head of slushy gray snow along the sidewalks and have to rethink that. It's nice there, though. Everybody has scarves.

I been alright. I'm still in New Paltz. Yea I know you must be like, "what the hell? Christmas is this weekend and your still in school?!" Blame the administration and how they schedule finals. My dorm room also has a leak problem in the closet...yay, fun! We should meet up and spend a day in the city when the strike is over or something.

how's it feel right now, in terms of how are people responding to it. the only new i've seen is pretty against the union, which i'd expect, but how do new yorkers feel about this?

basically, people are pissed. from what i've been hearing, its pretty much split down the middle between people pissed at the MTA and people pissed at the union. a lot of people are pissed at both sides because a total transit strike is a major pain the ass to everyone. but its much easier to be pissed at the union, because of all the negative press, and they walked off the job.
