weeeeird. I actually just read a story.. fiction, but there was a section where one character confronts anothers prejudices about people by basically introducing her to a prostitute and comparing the prejudices people have against them to prejudices against other "sexual deviance" (a lot of which used to be illegal, and a lot of which in some states of the us still is)... The story over all was ok... but that part of it really struck home.. Frequently we judge those who prostitute and those who use prostitutes negatively because it's considered "taboo", and because it is against the values of society to "accept" it... even those of us who do push those boundaries and don't follow those mores often do believe in the preconceptions about sex workers... when really it's not fair, in a humane sense, similarly to the way people treat/think of other completely underrepresented minorities... there are some like prostitutes that have even less of a voice then the "traditional" ones... Can't think of one thats as good of an example except
