a) Yeah, I can definitely see you gettin' your Libertarian on. It's a really good party, and I've definitely aligned myself there a couple times, but the only problem with it (not with IT, with our entire governmental system) is that third party votes just end up taking votes away from the people who will...actually end up winning. I think that now that young people have actually started voting (I know that young votes made up 18% of Obama's win, but I don't know the overall percentage of the vote that we can attribute to young people) - the next step is getting people to realize that they don't have to compromise with their vote - the voting system, really, is the compromise, the vote itself shouldn't be ( ... )

i have to agree with the effect of obama's public speaking talent. he is crazy good.

i'm really thrilled that our generation has really taken their civic duties seriously, i just hope that for the next batch of elections, people will vote more on the issues than anything else.

as for the flaw with third party vote, i understand that, especially with senators and the president, it is going to be a while before any third party really has a shot. as far as a community level thing, i think it's totally achievable.

i'm in the same boat you are. i didn't vote in this election because i don't like obama or mccain for certain reasons. i was going to vote for the libertarian candidate bob barr, because i consider myself a libertarian, but i knew it wouldn't matter. if only this country wasn't a two party system.

seriously. it would be awesome if the race for any office wasn't just between two parties.

did you watch the new southpark, by the way?
