Cooking Lesson #1

Oh, I keep meaning to update this, but I never find the time with all of the other things I prioritize over this. Anyway, it's only been a couple of days since math camp finished and already I'm waking up at three in the afternoon...that's not a good sign. But in brighter news, I've managed to be somewhat more productive with my time than I was at ( Read more... )

hahaha the "measuring by eye" technique will be quite useful since we don't have any sort of measuring equipment at the apartment! :) It's a technique that we all love to use here at apartment 305.

Call me hopeless but I'm kind of interested in what games you were playing.

Oh, don't worry. I'll definitely be bringing my own set of measuring instruments! I canNOT do this measuring by eye business. :P It kind of reminds me of when I was a kid and first learning estimation. I hated it. I didn't understand why 66+75 would be rounded to 70+80, which equals 150 when CLEARLY 66+75=141, which is so much closer to 140. Either way, why approximate when you can do things exact?

Haha, you are hopeless, Sooyun! I doubt what games I play will interest you much; they're a very odd selection: Sims (2&3), Maplestory (which is a kid's game, I know), Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, and (I was planning to start) Final Fantasy VIII. Most of those were old games that I used to play and which I started getting back into, if just a little bit.

well it's... closer to 150 than 100! hahaha I totally don't mind guesstimating.

I've heard of maplestory and FFVII, and played Harvest Moon before 8D! wowww Pearl. I never thought you were the video gaming kind.

It's the OCD-ness and the need to be accurate. I'm sure you don't mind the guesstimating, but that's why you're you and I'm me. :P

Yup, yup. I'm secretly a gamer. I get it from my family because my brother and my cousins all grew up with video games--every single game system dating back to the Nintendo (the original). FFVII was really good! All the Final Fantasy's, actually. Part of me still wants to play VIII some day...
