oh shoot! i won't make the show. i was looking forward to listening to something new and adventurous. next time. i'm sure i'd appreciate them. i like whole productions of random instruments. ;)

i saw them in a livingroom a few years back and they scared me. then i saw one of the dudes in austin and he was carrying a huge ghetto blaster and had gold chains and just looked ridiculous. made me feel old and jaded. still, i'd like to see them now. especially in visalia. did you see let's go sailing, too?

seeing them in howie's brought the hipster quotient down more than a few notches. the outfits were on the normal side this time and not one gold chain in sight. we hung out with them after chez bolex rex (avec ranger elizabeth, who is going to give FF the scoop on super cool secret hikes!) and all the guys were really nice and from the midwest.

yes, we saw let's go sailing and they were really good!
