I loved Brokeback Mountain. It's true that I have a softspot (or is that a hardspot?) for gay cowboys who communicate their love to eachother by a sideways spit and a head nod before a whiskey-soaked brawl under the unforgiving moon. But also, Ang Lee is just a great director. I nominate it for Best Picture of the year! Ok, it was like one of four hollywood movie I saw this year but still.

i love Ang Lee also. ever since The Ice Storm, i have been sold on everything the fella does. even Spiderman. (which is pretty decent as far as superhero movies go).

i would also nominate the movie for best picture. the only other movie i've seen this year that was perhaps better was Capote. if Philip Seymour Hoffman does not win best actor for that shit, somebody fucked up.
