Awwwwww! Playing with James mind, and what a sweet mind it is!
Time travel is so deliciously seductive, isn't it? I don't think any of us haven't toyed with all the plot bunnies and possibilities that would come from that.
The airship is a great twist. To a man of the sea, a ship of the air would seem....not right.
TIme travel is quite addictive, especially to a sci-fi addict like me. ^^ And the even better thing is, given the nature of both PotC and "...Jules Verne" it is legitimately possible in both!
Thank-you muchly, luv, always great to hear from you!
Norrington had summoned him to his office first thing that morning with the bewildering message of “Come now, you aren’t in trouble”.
I loved the ficlet, but this line is still making me giggle. It's so very Teddy to be baffled at being called to the Commodore's office and not being in trouble for once. :)
The characterizations were perfect as well. It's just like James to be dismissive and close minded about anything he deems fantastical or outside the realm of the ordinary - rather like the way he always insists Jack's compass is broken. Just as it's like Teddy to be fascinated by everything that James scoffs at. ;)
xDD Thank you! Yes, that line was particularly amusing.
You know, now that you say that, I think about it. I was thinking so much about how I portrayed dear Teddy I didn't think about James. ^^ I guess its a good thing I can write him. But you are right - it is so like him! >__
