Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiny. And that's saying something, because AWE mostly killed my Beckett love. I particularly like the quasi-repetition in the bolded lines of "Embers and Ashes."

AWE...just needs to be ignored, mostly. I mean, that's what personal cannon is for! (James didn't really die! He escaped with Elizabeth and became the ferryman to the dead instead of Will!)
Or even better- AWE never happened, nor did DMC. It was all a verrrry strange dream dreamt by Beckett (who is actually a plantation owner). Thats my favourite theory. ^^ (Inspired by... whoever it was that wrote that Fair Trade story... Galadhir I think, though I also think there's a good chance I'm wrong...)

WOW. I think these are the first Beckett-centred poems I've ever read, and they're so good! I like the rhythm in the first one very much, but Norrington's voice in the second is *perfect*. I loved this line in particular:
You were there for me, Just as I was there for you.
That was so clear and touching. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Those are two of the original first-draft lines of that one- it almost ended up called 'There For You'. (random tidbit, I know. ^^)
My pleasure indeed.
