Question about Sims 2 Compatibility...

Hello, all. So I finally got my new laptop today and I've been having a few complications... I'm trying to install Sims 2 along with its expansion packs on to this laptop, but it doesn't seem to be working. I'm currently trying to install the 2nd disc of Sims 2, and it's loading fine, and all.. but the load bar just stops loading at 49%. It hasn't

I have windows 7 and everything works fine. I've heard of this problem before though...
