For once, I have little to say of the ever churning political air of Reial. While as always naught is good, for now, it is calm. Calm in the way a keg of black powder waiting for a spark is calm, perhaps. But it is still truth in it's own way. Instead I find my mind wandering to the approaching Long Night with it celebrations and preparations in ( Read more... )

Mmm...

You know, Deli, everytime I hear you say stuff like that, I always learn something new. I need to take a few lessons from you.

But in honesty, the same can be said of countries, can't it?

And like countries, everyone on the airships, even though they are on different ships, are all linked somehow, by having a similar profession, as well. There's a large family, which is the profession, and then the smaller families, the ships.

I do no such thing! I'm just being honest, is all. You give yourself too little credit, I think.

...Yeah. It's like all of us are connected with a sort of thread. Even though parts of the thread may fray, and maybe they break off and fall down onto the ground and get stepped on, in the end, the loose ends always get tied up, and once again, they're part of the same string. Maybe a strange metaphor, but I think it makes sense. It's something that just...you don't really understand it or feel it unless you've experienced it yourself. I can honestly say that I've never developed any friendship on the ground that compares to the feelings I have for those who I have met and deal with from day-to-day since I started living this life I live now.

I'm great! The wheelchair's a bit hard to manage sometimes, though.
