I had to drive to Iowa City today from Des Moines. There was a blizzard on Sunday, but it didn't strike me as all that bad. Unfortunately I got about half way to Iowa City and the roads turned to ice. Honestly, I lost count after 200 cars in the ditch along the interstate! So what is normally a 2 hour drive took me 6 hours. Oy....

We were at 52 degrees this morning when I woke up, then it cooled down during the day.

The roads weren't nearly as bad today...so as long as I can scoot down to Ottumwa tomorrow and then back to Des Moines, my traveling days will be over for a smidge.
