nothing to do with jillian, just in case you think that, because i stayed out of what happened between you guys and i want it to stay that way.

nope. it means the people that started out with me and the people that have loved me and the people that were there for me are the only ones that matter. you've always tried to be a good friend to me and i appreciate it and i hope you believe i've done the same- to be completely honest though- i doubt i'll know you in 20 years, but there are a few that i will- and those are the people i'm really talking about here. i'll remember the memories that touched me and the people that affected me.

and it's even weirder that you then asked "we"

that was the one line i noticed because it indirectly addressed the rest of us. meaning the rest of the kids in your grade. thus the "we."
