AHAHAHA YES. I CAN GO TO JAPAN FOR THE WINTER VACATION.
...I hope. I'm looking for cheap tickets on the net right now like a starved person looking for leftover food in trash cans, but no matter how much I look the cheapest is like $1030, tax included. The price for gas is retarded, though. $200 just for gas? And they tell you it's a cheap ticket

Mangas in USA is really expensive tru fax. I don't know what makes it so expensive because I hate the paper quality and thee fact they like to stamp cheesy sound effect on the back.
*pats* Good luck on your school, I hope you do the test just well, and having a good time! why suddenly I miss my high school? *sad*

I hoard red transparent 下敷き. Tutoring people in US they never heard of it but when I give them one, they convert to it :)
So, everytime I go back, always I buy and send lots of things from the stationery stores.
Usually I make it back for a trip once a year or so, but this year due to the 放火事件 I didn't make it back, I still have enough things stored up but... recently I put in for an account with shoppingmalljapan.com, we'll see if there's someplace I can buy online that has what I want.
Before there was internet though sometimes I would go to "Japantown" in SF, it used to be there was one stationery store across from the Kinokuniya, I could get notebooks and what, 大学ノートとかね。
Anyway for me, to go back to Japan is always around $1K if I want to fly from my local country airport on a known day, luckily I have a job to afford it but still, it's a big thing. :P
Still, absolutely red 下敷き are the best thing.
