Great news! Now all you need is a second rack, and they'll start to multiply naturally. :-)

I'm thinking about setting up a serious website somewhere with that open comment system that lets you log in with just about any social network to comment. Disquss I think? I'm going to do the hang tags we talked about to advertise it. A little more planning needed, but I think I can make it happen.

You know, LiveJournal also allows people to log in with various social network accounts. Check it: log out, and click "log in" rather than using the quick log in box.

You can setup a community for this thing, or open a new LJ account, rather than looking for a new platform and learning how to use it.

unfortunately I have yet to have anyone use an openID to reply to me, I've only had annonymous. I've used my LJ ID elsewhere, but this just seems to be one of those geek things that eludes most people.

Good luck dude!
Wordpress does it and uses Intense Debate. It'll also let you automagically feed to both Livejournal and Facebook.
However, in all systems, there are issues with syncing the comments.
