Shady business

In Up, there's a retirement home called "Shady Oaks." In Spongebob Squarepants, there's a retirement home called "Shady Shoals." It's a rather pervasive trend.

Why is it that every time a movie/TV show mentions a retirement home it's called "Shady ___"?

I dunno. It just sorta provokes a feeling of tranquility and serenity so "shady" gets stuck in front of anything. "Shady Oaks," "Shady Acres," "Shady Park," etc.

Though shady can also mean 'suspicious, dubious,' so it can be used ironically too.
