I want to thank everyuone for their kind thoughts over the last day or so. Yesterday's pericardial tap started out as a typical procedure. The anethesiologist heavily sedated me & given me local anesthesia for where he assumed my pain nerves for the area around my heart were located. Whoa, scary! Glad you got through that okay and yay for quick thinking doctors!

It'll be interesting to see what your blood pressure numbers are like around the middle of next week, after you get closed up on Monday, and then have a day or two to relax after that.

That's true. It's possible that my BP is doing so well because I have a vent where the pressure could go, you might say.

Either that, or it'll go down further or stabilize once you've got the tube out and have had a couple of days to relax after all the scariness of all of this.
