Well, as I half expected, the checkup with Dr. Hausner revealed some things which hadn't been explored or explicated on Monday. The wound where the drain used to be still hasn't closed, & that alone was enough for her to revoke my return to work. Also, not all of the fluid got out. Some of it escaped into my lungs. Isn't a unit about what one gives when one gives blood? Though of course in your state, you don't want to be messing with the system any more than absolutely necessary, and the effects of losing that much blood matter a lot more, I'd think.

And yeesh! Not quite to comedy of errors level (and only funny once it all works out okay) but isn't that enough complications for one operation? The universe should be on notice that you don't need any more!

I don't know how much blood I lost during the valve repair, but no, I really don't need to lose any more. Honestly, I don't need any more surprises, of any kind, I think.
