As we walked through Lower Kimball today with our newly-acquired boxed lunches, I nudged my friends and asked whether they'd ever before seen a certain girl whom I noticed sitting at a filled table. Had she been here last year? She looked very familiar....
But it couldn't be.
So I went on Facebook and ran a search for "Ani." Nothing came up. Not quite convinced, I ran a second search, this time for "Armenian." I did this because I'd always referred to the girl I met at a retreat I went to with Mike Sintros two or three years back as "Ani the Armenian." Lo and behold, three results popped up, and the last of these bore the name Ani Nalbandian.
Wow. So this girl, with whom I'd exchanged long, involved emails for almost two years but who had suddenly ceased to make contact towards the end of my senior year--she now is a freshman at my college.
What will the world think up next?
