Hi!
Now, since we last assembled... a few significant things have happened.
1. I got a new job! I found out today. It*s for a position that I saw posted before my six-months of employment at UOP were up, so I couldn*t apply. It got posted again in May & I jumped on that ish. I interviewed & I was asked if I would be interested in another position, as well (they liked me!). My supervisor told me today when I told her that I accepted the position, that the new supervisor had called her & they knew each other. The new supervisor told my current supervisor that he had a LOT of really good candidates, so he was in a win-win situation. & I feel pleased because they picked ME out of all of *em! I*ll get a 21% raise (which sounds like a lot, but considering what I make right now, it*s not - haha), which is less than the Project Coordinator position I turned down would*ve made, but I KNOW I will like this position much better! : D
2. I started school! I got an A in my first class. : )
3. I got a new car! I am SO.SO.SO. pleased with it! The owner was the first & only, & the Carfax report showed that he took the car in for all regular maintenance ON TIME at the HONDA dealer, & he had all maintenance records & took care of the thing like it was a child. Jerem got into the car when we went to pick it up Thursday, & said, "This car is immaculate." Keep in mind - Jerem can find something wrong with just about anything you put in front of him (analytical analytical - ha), so the fact that he can*t find anything wrong with it says a lot. Teehee. It*s soooo beautiful. &&&&!! I got my FAVORITE generation of Civic! I wanted to buy as new as possible with the money I had to work with, & luckily, I was able to get my favorite! I lovelovelove the bubble headlights! : D
Here are a couple of pictures (try to ignore the reflections - the car is so shiny that it just can*t help it!):
& I*m not sure if anyone remembers, but I made a post a couple weeks ago about how tacky I think woodgrain interiors are in a CIVIC. An Accord, I can understand... but it seems odd & unfitting in a Civic. Anyway... dun dun dun duuunnn!!:
Teehee. That*s the only thing on my list of NEEDS & my list of WANTS that was NOT on there. It*s not as big a deal as I thought it would be.
& that RADIO is the SHIT. It has that feature where you can talk on your cell phone through the RADIO!! & it*s "iPod ready" so I don*t have to use the iTrip, & it has a USB drive so I could plug my thumbdrive in & listen to music from THAT!! I LOVE it. : )
It*s mine, all mine, & it*s all paid off & I LOVE IT!!
4. I finally got that pink Sony camera I*ve been eyeing. I decided I needed a reward/celebration for starting school, being halfway to my weight-loss goal, a new job, & a new car. : ) I LOVE my new camera. It*s fantastic, & you KNOW I don*t use the term "fantastic" lightly. ; )
I guess that*s about it for all the significant events. Things have been UNBELIEVABLY AMAZING for me the last two months or so. & most of it has been things of my own doing, so that feels even better!
OH oh oh, & a couple pictures I just wanted to put in here... : )
I found that in the Post Secret book. Hilarious. I totally could*ve sent that one in myself.
Jerem & I look really happy in that picture & I like it.
