Uh oh...Undecided voter?

So I reviewed the candidates various tax policies. First of all, Obama bitched out and flip flopped on the capital gains tax. The initial plan was to raise it, and cut the rate that the rate that upper middle class people currently burden. Well guess what? Mr not accountable to big money changed his mind. This has severely disillusioned me ( Read more... )

I have not been pleased with Obama's flip-flopping and his mad dash to the center after clinching the nomination. I thought this exposed him as a chameleon, and cost him votes - he was doing better in the polls before his series of surprising reversals, possibly because independent voters are looking for a candidate that seems to have integrity.

But McCain, in addiction to being a collossal douche is also an egregious flip-flopper. Most of what he "believes" now is the opposite of the platform he ran on in 2000. See for example http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D5-DnNsoA5Y

He has said that it doesn't matter when we bring troops home from Iraq. Probably we won't bring them home at all - we'll redeploy them to Iran, because there is nothing the GOP wants more than for America's dick to remain in the ass of the world.

And if we're completely incapable of choosing one or the other for ourselves? What of the salesmanship on one candidate over the other then?

Well, honestly, a vote for McCain is a vote for Satan, seriously. The last 8 years have set us on a crash course for national disaster the likes of which we have not seen before. I feel that McCain will continue this path and we'll see the United States fall to a mediocre footnote in the annals of history. Think Britain in the 80s.
I just don't think Obama is the candidate that he presented himself as during the primaries. We'll see what happens though. Personally, I'm headed for New Zealand or Australia if McCain wins. I hear its just like California there, only 50 years ago.

and I sure as hell don't want to be paying out of pocket to stabilize the country after hundreds of thousands of people made poor financial choices.

I feel in love with Obama just like everyone else did. I like what he represents but I just want him to have a bit more substance.
"Mr. Obama, what should we do about healthcare?" "WE'RE GONNA FIX IT!"

"How?" "TOGETHER!"

"Uhm, how again?" "TOGETHER, WE'RE GONNA FIX IT!"

And I didn't say Democrats are bad for the economy. I said they like to raise taxes.

And don't use the Bush administration as an example of Republicans spending like mad, as they just aren't republicans. I'm not even sure what they are. Something evil, no doubt.

At this point I hate John McCain so much that despite flipping between the issues a bit, Obama would have to punch a baby or ban Diet Pepsi for him to lose my vote.
