Oh, this is so cute and awesome. I want to quote all the things I loved, but I would be quoting pretty much of all of Wednesday and most of the rest of the fic, too.

Eee at Chief Vick and her golf shirt. Yay for Shawn and Gus and trivia, and Gus totally getting his back with the Oscar thing. Hee at Gus totally happy to take advantage of one of Shawn's skills accrued via one of his short term jobs and the inclusion of pineapple. And Lassy and Jules riding in to the rescue! Just, so much love.

Okay, and a couple of lines I really, really liked:
C'mon, Gus, let's go. I hope you realize there's clearly nothing for you here." He poked Gus with the umbrella, right in the small of his back, until Gus started moving towards the door.
Ha at this and Lassiter's subsequent confusion.

"I never thought you were in any danger," Shawn said, and gripped Gus's hand tightly all the way back.
This is just so sweet and Shawn.

and
"I see you have a nose," Crazy Mary said, peering in close.

"Jesus Christ," Gus said with vehemenceI love how weird ( ... )

I think this season has just brought out all the Shawn/Gus love! It's been fantastic.

I hope you don't mind me friending you in hopes of further Psych fic.

This season in general has been pretty awesome (I could use a little more Jules, but this past episode delivered). Then again, I can't really think of a single episode I didn't like thus far, and all the Shawn and Gus and their awesome antics has made me super happy.

I love all new friends! And I was so excited to see that you have an entire journal full of Shawn/Gus to read!

I totally agree about this season. I was worried when Juliet got ONE LINE in the first episode, but she's definitely picked up since then. And I can't get over how great Shawn and Gus have been- I mean, they've always been hilarious, but I thought the prom episode especially was over-the-top wonderful. :)

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! i just squeed EMBARASSINGLY loudly. this is just so sweet and crazy and them. a lot of times gus doesn't come through as strongly in fic but you did a FANTASTIC job of making shawn his insane self and yet gus wasn't at all overpowered by him. \o/ LOVE!

Thank you so much! :) Gus does such a good job not getting totally sucked into Shawn's whirlpool of crazy on the show, I just had to let him be his own nutty self.

If I was in a room by myself, I would have indulged in the amount of major squee that the above posters have mentioned - as I'm at work (on break! on break!), I just have a huge, monster smile which has threatened to engulf my whole head. I adore the trivia battle, because I know people who do whole showdowns while waiting for a movie and Shawn and Gus would totally do the same.

The best thing about the fic, though, as I'm sure many other people will mention, is how obviously Shawn cares for Gus. Sure, he does little, annoying Shawn-things (stabbing him with an umbrella, for example), but the way he holds Gus' hand, the little kiss, tugging gently on the belt loops of his jeans, my God, - wow. Still smiling. There should be more Shawn/Gus. Thank you!

Oh, this whole comment made me grin like an idiot. Thank you so much! And yeah, Shawn can talk the brusque manly-man talk all he wants, but I think the show has pretty much driven home how much he adores Gus.

Oh, that's so adorable. There isn't nearly enough Shawn/Gus in the world, and this is an wonderful example.

I love how this fic shows Shawn's sense of humor and incorrigible facade of self-confidence and insecurity. Shawn's voice is excellent, very fresh and full of bravado that is consistently undercut by his actions--fiddling possessively with Gus's belt loops when they're in danger, even as he's rambling on about "I see the smoldering tension between you! The way he growls your name- big tough policeman wooing you into a dangerous life of high pursuit! And violence!"

I also love the end; not just Shawn kissing Gus's neck, but the fact that even though Gus tells Shawn no he doesn't actually turn on his TV show.

Thank you very much! I love the disconnect in the show between what Shawn says and how he feels, especially towards Gus, so I'm glad that came through in the fic.

And I'm glad you liked Gus' inattention to the show- he can talk the talk too, but he's just as devoted. :)
