This was really sad and sweet. I was a little concerned with the Tony\OMC aspect, but I thought it was handled well. And Pepper liking him was rather "sigh, Pepper" inducing. I also like the repetition with the coffee. :) I have mixed feelings about Tony's response after Obi's memorial, but I don't quite know how to put it in words. Lastly, thanks for making this actually *about* Tony\Pepper. I've read a few pieces where Tony\Pepper are listed but it's more of a "blink and you'll miss it" thing, which gets really frustrating when looking for good fic. Thanks for sharing. :)

Oh man, this is absolutely, absolutely gorgeous. Your writing is so clear and direct and neat that I just adore this from beginning to end. Your Pepper characterization is so cool and collected, and I love the way that you introduce the story.

In fact, I'm of the opinion first scene is just note-perfect. In fact, I'm pretty sure it's my favorite summary of Pepper-cleaning-up-after-Tony's-sexual-escapades that I've ever read. It has the humor (Pepper getting a tie off the ceiling fan!), the slight grossness (picking up other people's underwear), and the moral ambiguity (having to tell that poor bastard because Tony can't be bothered) that a lot of those kinda scenes ignore.

Man, so yeah. I'll be over here, marveling at how neatly and compactly your scenes are constructed.

Thank you! That first scene is actually my favorite too, so I was thrilled to get this feedback.

Also, I recognized your name and went to check out your journal- I actually have your latest fic, that amazingly creepy Obadiah/Pepper story, bookmarked to feedback! There's a huge deficit of Iron Man stories that recognize how twisted most of these characters are, and you just nailed it- the tone, the slow reveal, the whole thing. I'm looking forward to reading through the rest of your stories!
